2007 Mid-Summer Preview for the 2008 Sale
So far it’s been a good summer. We have been blessed with timely rains, and our grass is better than it has been for several years. The bull calves are growing and maturing, and beginning to develop into their potential. As a group, the bull calves are the progeny of some of the best genetics that the Angus breed has to offer. The bulls are sired by On Target, War Alliance, Lead On,In Focus, Danny Boy, Keystone, 095, Navigator, Connealy VRD, Focus, 1407, BT Right Time, and Foresight.
The bull calves have already begun the evaluation process. When the calves were pre-conditioned, we banded 70 bull calves that we didn’t feel met the standards that we have set for our cattle. It is our belief that this stringent culling process will ensure that only the best bulls, will remain bulls. The saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words, so we have included some pictures of bull calves, with their cows, as part of this mid-summer preview. The only criteria the bulls had to meet for getting a picture in this section, was to be standing close to their mother.
