Welcome to the 16th Annual Kraye Angus bull sale.

We can't say that we will look back on 2006 with fondness. It was a harsh, hard year. We were forced to make a lot of hard decisions, trying to do what was best for the land and best for the cattle and trying to prepare for the challenges yet to come.

Due to the severe drought conditions, in the Sandhills, this summer, we pre-conditioned and weaned the bull calves earlier than normal.

The bulls spent almost 3 months in a 335 acre pasture. Even though the calves were on self-feeders and had access to free choice hay, they still made several circuits around their pasture daily, developing a sound respiratory system, along with strong bones and solid muscles.

The bulls in this catalog continue to meet the standards of consistency, quality and integrity that have always been a vital part of our cattle program. With the average EPD's being higher than the national average, this group is a solid set of hard working, no nonsense bulls.

Ranking among the best of the industry, the sires of these bulls have been chosen for the genetic qualities that they will deliver to their offspring.

Traveler 004 is the most popular performance sire of the Angus breed. Phenotypically tremendous, Traveler 004 displays excellent muscle shape and performance, consistently stamping his progeny with length, thickness, muscle and an attractive appearance. His daughters are nice uddered, and roomy, deep-bodied and easy-fleshing, in any environment.

WAR Alliance 9126 is an excellent calving ease bull that offers growth, muscle and exceptional EPD's. His calves are early maturing with lots of frame size.

Boyd On Target is a high performance sire with a pedigree for growth genetics. On Target ranks among the top 1% for weaning EPD, yearling EPD and $Feedlot value. His calves are long bodied, have a good hip and plenty of rib. The grandam of On Target is the top growth female in the breed.

KCF Coalition is an impressive Alliance son with EPD's that rank him in the top 15% of the Angus breed. Coalition is a proven high marbling sire with a +.42 IMF and +.41 MARB EPD.

1407 has been a giant in the carcass department for the past five years. No other proven bull possesses the total package of low birth, high growth, carcass value, and maternal strength of 1407.

B/R Ambush 28 is another strong carcass sire. Ambush 28 stands out for carcass genetics and is a 3-star tenderness bull. His calves scan well with excellent IMF and REA ratios.

Boyd New Day is a great combination of powerful muscle mass and maternal strength. His calves are thick topped and have a good hip. With a strong maternal pedigree, New Day daughters have exceptional weaning and nursing ratios. Refined females can benefit from the power New Day can deliver.

B/R New Frontier 095 is highly proven for producing solid growth with reasonable birth weights and great carcass value.

Connealy Danny Boy is a low birth weight, high growth bull, siring trouble-free cattle with eye appeal and structural correctness.

Hyline Right Time 338 continues to be one of the most popular bulls for delivering powerful growth and high quality replacement females while keeping birth weights low. 338 daughters are long deep-bodied females with great udders. 338 calves consistently scan well making him one of the most complete power bulls available.
