WELCOME to the 17th Annual Kraye Angus Production Sale. The business of producing beef becomes more complicated every year. In this age of modern technology, we are flooded with more data and more facts that we have to wade through, to make sound, knowledgeable decisions about our cattle breeding programs. One fact that has remained constant is the fertility and reproductive soundness of the Angus breed. Angus females are unequaled in maternal traits and mothering ability. Angus steers grow efficiently and have the characteristics that improve the quality and consistency of beef. The bulls in this catalog continue to meet the standards of consistency, quality and integrity that have always been a vital part of our cattle program. With the average EPD’s being higher than the national average, this group is a solid set of hard working no nonsense bulls. The bulls are calm with naturally good dispositions. The yearling heifers were selected from our replacement heifers and have been subjected to the same quality standards the yearling bulls have been. These heifers are being offered for sale as purebred, commercial heifers, and will be an excellent opportunity for someone to add some quality genetics to their cow herd. Sired by the most progressive bulls, this sale offering will deliver some of the best genetics available in the Angus breed, for both performance and calving ease. All of the bulls will be semen tested. All of the bulls will be ultra sounded and the information processed thru the CUP program. As with all cattle ranchers, we try to learn from past mistakes and we try to anticipate the challenges of the future. We are not always successful, but we try to stay focused and raise good quality honest, hard working cattle. At Kraye Angus our cattle are our livelihood, our hobby, our recreation and our passion. 98% of all of our cows are home raised and have never been off of the ranch. Our cows are working moms, and they are expected to pay their own way. We are proud to present this solid set of yearling Angus bulls. These bulls are deep bodied, heavily muscled, strong boned and structurally sound and ready to go to work in anyone’s cow herd. The bulls are fed at home and are available for inspection at any time.
